Annual Conference 2012

BCCGN’s third annual conference, Clinical genomics - the Good, the Bad and the Ugly was held on Friday 20th April 2012. Attending physicians recieved 6.25 CME credits It attracted 178 delegates including family physicians and specialists (38%), many of whom travelled from outside the lower mainland. BCCGN’s third annual conference, GENOMICS IN MEDICINE 2015 was held on Wednesday April 27th, 2011 at the Vancouver Convention Center. Attending physicians recieved 6 CME credits. It attracted 210 delegates including family physicians and specialists (23%), many of whom (18%) travelled from outside the lower mainland. Also attending were health professionals, researchers and students. Feedback from delegates was very positive for the overall conference program.

BCCGN’s second annual conference, GenOMICS: Today and Tomorrow’s Medicine was a huge success. A total of 217 delegates registered including family physicians, specialists, health professionals, researchers and students. Thirty-seven percent were physicians, 23% of whom travelled from outside the lower mainland as far away as Vancouver Island, Nelson, Golden, Prince George, and Dawson Creek. More

Over 170 delegates from all over BC, including physicians, researchers, students, industry, genetecists and more. 96% attendees said they would attend the conference next year. 95% of them left the conference with a better understanding of genomics.
